Chandigarh, July 25: Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia congratulated the youth of the country on Saturday, stating that their long struggle against paper leaks and irregularities in examinations has finally borne fruit.
Majithia praised every young person, teacher, and social activist Sonam Wangchuk who contributed to this movement, emphasizing that moral accountability has finally been established with the resignation of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
He described this as a ‘significant victory for the youth of the country.’ Congratulating the youth of Punjab as well, Majithia stated that it is now time to hold the state government accountable for its dual stance.
He criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which he referred to as the ‘colorful party,’ for the continuous paper leaks since they came to power in Punjab, repeatedly betraying the state’s youth.
Majithia pointed out that AAP leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, who participated in protests demanding moral accountability and resignations over paper leak cases in Delhi, have remained silent on the ongoing recruitment scams and examination controversies in Punjab.
He questioned whether accountability only applies to the central government while the AAP government in Punjab remains free from any moral standards.
Since the AAP took power in Punjab, several examinations have been embroiled in controversies, including the recruitment of Naib Tehsildars and Junior Engineers, as well as the recent recruitment of Pharmacy Officers at Baba Farid University.
He alleged that accusations of monetary transactions, organized cheating, and a paper leak network have surfaced, revealing how the leak mafia operated, yet Sisodia continued to claim that everything was fine.
Majithia stated that every year, allegations of paper leaks and examination irregularities have jeopardized the hard work and future of thousands of young candidates, but no one has taken moral responsibility or resigned.
He concluded by asserting that it is now time to accept responsibility, and like the youth across the country, the youth of Punjab have awakened. They will demand answers from ministers and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann regarding every leaked examination.
