Wipro surges on launching advanced cloud SOC services

Wipro is currently trading at Rs. 239.10, up by 2.50 points or 1.06% from its previous closing of Rs. 236.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 237.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 240.05 and Rs. 236.55 respectively. So far 46545 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 301.55 on 14-Jun-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 231.68 on 21-Dec-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 241.85 and Rs. 235.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 136797.52 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.04%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.32% and 8.19% respectively.

Wipro has launched advanced cloud Security Operations Centre (SOC) services powered by Microsoft Azure Sentinel. As part of this integration, the company will offer managed cloud SOC services with built in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Orchestration capabilities for rapid threat detection and response for its clients across hybrid cloud environments.

In addition, AI based capabilities of Wipro HOLMES will be used to measure the risk factors against compliance standards. The company is enhancing its cloud threat management capabilities in the form of an adaptive, intelligent and cloud-native SOC for single or multi-cloud customers.
