Federer’s eight Wimbledon titles are more than any other man in history and if he beats Djokovic today, he will match Czech Martina Navratilova’s Women’s Singles record of nine titles.
Federer could also become the oldest man at 37 years and 340 days in the Open Era to win a Grand Slam Singles title.
He has already made history by becoming the first man to win 100 matches at a Grand Slam. Djokovic, on the other hand, is chasing his fifth Wimbledon title.
Djokovic enjoys a 25-22 edge in career meetings, stretching back 13 years. The Serb had defeated Federer in the Wimbledon final in 2014 and 2015.
In Women’s Singles, Romania’s Simona Halep defeated seven-time champion Serena Williams in two straight sets last night to win her first title.
