Kia launches 7-seater electric car with 490KM range!

Kia India is set to launch its electric cars under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model, following the trend among automotive companies.

Kia has launched its popular 7-seater electric car, Carens Clavis EV, with a new Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) offering.

Under the BaaS finance model, customers can purchase vehicles and batteries separately, with distinct loan options available for each.

Chassis and battery financing for electric cars will be separate, offering customers increased convenience in purchasing electric vehicles.

The initial down payment for the EV under BaaS is set at ₹51,520, with customers required to pay ₹3.3 per km based on battery usage.

Kia offers a financing plan with loans for car bodies up to 60 months and batteries up to 96 months, enabling customers to make payments in easier installments.

Kia's standard variant is priced at ₹17.99 lakh, requiring a down payment of ₹51,520 and an EMI starting from ₹26,650.

The price of the extended variant is ₹21.99 lakh, requiring a down payment of ₹60,452 and an EMI starting at approximately ₹33,099.

A leading company has partnered with major banks like ICICI, HDFC, Axis, Kotak Mahindra, and Bajaj Finserv for its car financing program.

Kia announces access to over 15,000 charging points nationwide through its MyKia app's K-Charge platform.

The company claims that a 100 kW DC fast charger can charge this car's battery to about 80% in just 39 minutes.

The car offers seating configurations for 6 and 7 passengers, featuring a 12.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

The car, which received a 3-star rating in the Global NCAP crash test, includes safety features like six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and ABS with EBD.
