Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna to Return as Web Series!

The 2006 film "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna," addressing extramarital affairs and unhappy marriages, initially faced criticism but eventually received positive feedback from audiences.

Karan Johar is reviving his film from 2006 as a series, revealing plans for a longer format to explore its storyline after 20 years.

Karan responded to critics of his views on infidelity, stating, "How will you justify what already exists?"

Karan confirmed ongoing discussions with various OTT platforms to adapt his film into a long-form web series, stating that they will produce the series but withheld further details.

"Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna," directed by Karan Johar and produced by Dharma Productions, was released in 2006.

Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta, and Abhishek Bachchan starred in the film, with Amitabh Bachchan and Kirron Kher making special appearances.

The film grossed ₹45 crore in India and ₹110 crore worldwide.

Karan Johar has directed fewer films lately, with his latest release being "Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani" in 2023, following a short series "Ghost Stories" in 2019.
