India's best-selling diesel SUVs have captured the interest of millions, according to Aajtak Auto's latest report.

Diesel options wane as Mahindra, Toyota, Hyundai, and Kia dominate sales; several companies have phased out diesel from their portfolios.

The Mahindra Bolero, including Bolero and Bolero Neo, ranks second with sales of 1,10,136 units in the financial year.

Hyundai Creta ranks third with 91,907 units sold in the year, making it the only non-Mahindra car in the top five.

Mahindra's Thar Roxs achieved bumper sales, with 72,336 units sold in FY 2026, excluding Thar's sales.

Mahindra's XUV700 recorded impressive sales, with 44,546 units sold throughout the year, securing the fifth position in the market.
