Vehicle owners are urged to regularly check for pending traffic fines, as strict action may be taken against those who delay payment of e-challans.
The government has enabled online checking and payment of traffic fines through its official website and mobile app, eliminating the need to visit RTO or traffic police offices.
To check your eChallan status, visit the Parivahan portal and click on "Check Challan Status."
Users can now choose between Vehicle Number, Challan Number, or Driving Licence Number to access necessary details by filling in the required information and submitting the CAPTCHA.
All pending and paid challans related to your vehicle or license will be displayed on the screen.
To pay pending bills, click 'Pay Now', enter your mobile number, and verify using the OTP.
Users can make payments via UPI, debit card, credit card, net banking, or other options. After payment, download or save the receipt.
Failure to pay challans promptly may lead to legal action as per state regulations, including possible administrative measures related to RC or driving licence in some states.
