Vice President Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday attended the 16th convocation ceremony of Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research in Mumbai, wherein he awarded degrees to various students.
Addressing the students, the Vice President said that the country needs research, innovation and transformation.
Congratulating the students, he urged the youth of the country to come up with out of the box, creative and dynamic solutions to pressing problems at hand.
Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, Mumbai is an autonomous advanced research institution established by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in 1987, on its golden jubilee.
The Institute focuses on research on developmental issues from a multi-disciplinary point of view. The Governor of RBI is also the chairman of this institute.
