Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered prayers at the Himalayan shrine of Kedarnath. The Prime minister who is on a two-day visit to Uttarakhad reached Kedarnath on Saturday morning.
This is PM Modi’s fourth visit to Kedarnath since he became Prime Minister. The portals of Kedarnath shrine were thrown open for pilgrims on May 9 after six months of winter break.
Over 2000 pilgrims from different parts of the country attended the opening ceremony of the famous Kedarnath shrine located in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand.
PM Modi will offer prayers at Badrinath Shrine on Sunday. This will be prime minister’s first visit to Badrinath Shrine since he became the Prime Minister five years ago.
The Prime Minister reviewed the reconstruction project at Kedarpuri. PM Modi laid the foundation stone for the Kedarpuri reconstruction project two years ago.
