Udaipur : Two people were killed on Sunday here after their motorbike crashed into a fire engine that was dashing through a busy and congested street to attend a fire case. The mishap took place at the Ayad main road in the afternoon a motorcycle collided with the speeding fire fighting vehicle from the opposite site. A large number of people gathered at the scene and demanded compensation for the deceased. The victims Kesulal Gayri (22) and his uncle Omkarlal Gayri (45) residents of Khemli were heading towards MB Hospital to meet one of their relative admitted there. At Ayad a speeding fully loaded fire brigade , in an attempt to overtake a passing car, hit their bike and crashed into a grocery shop after losing control. Kesulal died on the spot while Omkarlal succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Large number of people gathered at the spot who toiled hard to pull out the victims and the bike which had badly got stuck inside the fire engine. Cops from Bhupalpura police station rushed to the spot and the traffic was diverted.
