The Travel Shop to foray into outbound segment

The Travel Shop will be introducing outbound tour packages from September this year. Talking about the same, Mayank Sarupria, Proprietor, The Travel Shop, said, “We will be offering outbound packages, which will mainly include offbeat destinations such as Israel, Jordan and Egypt. We would like to stand apart from others travel agents who offer the typical selling destinations in South East Asia, Middle East and Europe. We will start with Israel in September and look at adding more such destinations, gradually.”

Udaipur-based The Travel Shop’s business comprises inbound tour packages and car rentals for tourists from the UK and Australia. The Travel Shop also owns the Shree Haldighati Palace hotel at Haldighati in Rajasthan, as well as a multi-cuisine restaurant in Udaipur.

Elaborating on their offerings, Sarupria said, “Kerala is very popular with inbound tourists and so is Rajasthan. We have a number of packages showcasing the best of Rajasthan as well as custom-made itineraries. For the upcoming Israel packages as well we have included many different experiences. In Israel, a community called Kibbutz provides a home stay-style accommodation, which allows the traveller to get the most authentic experience of the destination. We want to provide similar experiences to our clients.”

Speaking about ETAA, he stated, “The Association has been instrumental in encouraging new travel agents. They allow ample opportunities to collaborate with fellow members of the travel trade and provide a common platform for everyone to put forward their ideas.”
