TMC leader found dead in his house

Durgapur : A Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader’s dead body was found hanging in his house at Chhora village under Andal police station in Durgapur district of West Bengal on Sunday.

In the preliminary investigation, the police believes the incident to be a case of suicide. However, the cause of death is yet to be ascertained.

The name of the deceased Trinamool leader was Nadia Dhibar. He was a resident of Chhora village of Pandabeshwar block. He was a lawyer by profession. He was associated with politics for a long time.

According to family sources, like other days, on Saturday night also, Nadiya went to sleep in his room after supper. On Sunday morning, at around 7.30 am, the maid of the house went to the basement to clean the house and found the Trinamool leader hanging. The relatives and neighbors reached the spot after hearing the screaming of the nurse. The matter was then informed to Banbahal police post.

The police reached the spot and took the body in their possession and sent it for post-mortem.

On information, Trinamool MLA Narendranath Chakraborty along with Trinamool leaders reached the spot. Narendranath Babu said, ””It is a very sad incident. Nadiya Babu”s demise is a loss for the party.”” He assured to stand with the family of the deceased.

Notably, Nadiya Dhibar had a long political career. He was presently holding the post of food Karmadhyaksha at Pandaveshwar Panchayat Samiti.
