New Delhi, Sep 27 (IANS) Food and Consumer Affairs Minister Ram Vilas Paswan is headed for a collision with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. In the run-up to Delhi elections, expect such pincer attacks becoming the norm.
The Bureau of Indian Standards, which works under the aegis of Paswan’s operative ministry, has found that tap water samples from 11 different parts of Delhi have failed on 24 varying parameters.
People from different parts of Delhi were complaining about the quality of tap water and its potability. The BIS action comes in the wake of this. The preliminary report has reportedly been filed with the Food and Consumer Affairs Ministry.
Ministry sources added the scope of this finding will be enlarged. Delhi Jal Board comes directly the Delhi government and its chairman is Chief Minister Kejriwal.
