Talks held in Vienna to salvage Iran nuclear deal

Iran said that meeting between Tehran and its partners yielded positive developments but had not “resolved everything.”

Speaking afterwards, Iran’s senior nuclear negotiator Abbas Araqchi said that Tehran would continue to reduce their obligations if the remaining parties to the deal do not help alleviate Iran’s economic isolation.

At the meeting, Iran, Germany, France, Britain, China, Russia and the European Union remain determined to save the deal.

Parties to the deal met for emergency talks following an escalation in tensions between Iran and the West that included confrontations at sea and Tehran’s breaches of the accord.
