Sensex falls 56 pts

Mumbai, April 19 : The BSE Sensex on Tuesday declined 56 pts at 57,110.53 as selling was witnessed in Finance, Telecom and Technology stocks. The Nifty rose marginally by 17 pts at 17,191.30. The sensex registered days high and low at 57,459.89 and 57,027.86 pts respectively. The Nifty registered days high and low at 17,275.65 and 17,152.60 pts respectively. The Mid moved up 0.76 pc and Small Cap by 0.79 pc. In 30 scrips, 20 advanced while 10 declined. The losers were HDFC by 3.67 pc to Rs 2180.05, HDFC Bank by 2.80 pc to Rs 1356.30, Infosys by 1.09 pc to Rs 1603.85 and Kotak Bank by 0.83 pc to Rs 1735.25. The gainers were Reliance Industries by 2.39 pc to Rs 2601, SBI by 1.24 pc to Rs 575.70, Axis Bank by 1.08 pc to Rs 807.80 and ICICI Bank y 1.07 pc to Rs 766.90. NV GNK
