During the hearing, the Centre maintained that the BJP had the support of all 54 MLAs of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) to form government in the state.
Meanwhile, hectic political activities continue in Maharashtra. In an attempt to showcase their strength, the NCP-Congress-Shiv Sena combine paraded, a total of 162 MLAs at Grand Hyatt Hotel in Mumbai last evening. Earlier, in the day a delegation of senior leaders from all the three parties submitted a letter to Raj Bhavan, stating that their alliance should be invited to form the government after Devendra Fadnavis led BJP government fails the floor test. On the other hand, Mr. Fadnavis took charge as the state’s Chief Minister yesterday.
