Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman appeared in person before BCCI Ombudsman and former justice DK Jain in Delhi on Wednesday.
Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman are alleged to be conflicted for their dual roles as members of Cricket Advisory Committee and as an icon (Tendulkar for Mumbai Indians) and mentor (Laxman for Sunrisers Hyderabad) of IPL teams.
However, the hearing which just ended remained inconclusive. Sachin and Laxman though may not be required to appear personally again unless they personally desire so.
Both cricketers have denied having any conflict and in fact, blamed BCCI for the mess as the Board never mentioned before their written submission that there is ‘tractable Conflict of Interest” which can be sorted on full disclosure.
This is the 3rd case of conflict of interest allegation being filed after Sourav Ganguly had to appear for deposition
