Rajasthan BJP chief Madan Lal Saini dies at 75

Madan Lal Saini, also a Rajya Sabha MP, was 75. He was diagnosed with infection in lungs and was admitted at a private hospital in Jaipur.

On Saturday, he was shifted to Delhi owing to his deteriorating health conditions and was being treated under the Hematology Department at AIIMS.

Madan Lal Saini was appointed BJP state president last year. He was a former MLA and RSS volunteer who held various posts in the Bhartiya Kisan Morcha as well.

President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP working president JP Nadda and Information and Broadcasting minister Prakash Javadekar expressed grief demise of BJP leaader.

President in a tweet said “Sad to hear of the demise of Madan Lal Saini, MP (RS). A veteran in public life, he remained committed to serving those at the grassroots. Condolences to his family and well- wishers.”

Prime Minister tweeted “The passing away of Madanlal Saini Ji is a major loss for the BJP family. He contributed to strengthening the Party in Rajasthan. He was widely respected for his congenial nature and community service efforts. My thoughts are with his family and supporters. Om Shanti.”

I&B Minister Prakash Javadekar said “Shocked by the sudden demise of Madan Lal Saini ji, State President, of Rajasthan. He was a dedicated BJP worker and was known for his simplicity & direct connect with people. He was also active in labour movement for a long time. Heartfelt Condolences to his family. Om Shanti.”
