Rain brings relief from scorching heat in Uttar Pradesh

Many places Jhansi, Bareilly, Hamirpur, Orai  Etawah, Kanpur, Agra, Banda, Lakhimpur khiri, along with capital city Lucknow experienced rains with gusty winds.

Monsoon precipitations have brought the temperature several degree below the normal at many places.

Jhansi recorded maximum 68.8 millimetres rains followed by Etawah 48 millimetre. Bareilly recorded 44. 4 millimetres.

The rain followed by gusty winds has brought temperature several degree below the normal and people heaved a sigh of relief from sweltering heat at many places.

In Jhansi maximum temperature was recorded 32.1 degree Celsius which was four degrees below the normal. In Etawah it was 33.4 degree which was four degrees below the normal. Meteorological Department has forecast rain and thundershowers very likely at many places over the state.

It has also warned heavy to very heavy rains at isolated places over the western part of the state
