Rahul Gandhi tenders unconditional apology to SC on his remarks against PM Modi

In a fresh three-page affidavit, Rahul Gandhi said he holds the Supreme Court in the “highest esteem and respect”, and sought closure of the criminal contempt proceedings filed against him by BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi.

Referring to the apex court Rahul Gandhi had made an objectionable comment on Prime Minister Modi regarding Rafale deal.

The apex court on 15th April gave a categorical clarification that in its Rafale verdict there was no occasion for it to make a mention of Rahul Gandhi’s contemptuous comment that he had attributed to it.

In his previous affidavit to the apex Court, Rahul Gandhi had expressed regret for his comment to the Supreme Court.
