Rafting expedition flagged off from Devprayag 

Union Minister for Jal Shakti Gajendra sing shekhawat  flagged off the rafting expedition organized by National Mission for Clean Ganga in Devprayag on Thursday.

The month long river rafting expedition between Devprayag in Uttarahand and Ganga Sagar in West Bengal will conclude on November 12. 

A nine members team of swimmers and rafters from  the three services of the armed forces led by acclaimed International Open water swimmer wing commander Paravvir singh are taking part in  the expedition. 

This is the 1st ever effort by National Mission for Clean Ganga to raft across the entire stretch of the river and also the longest ever social campaign through an adventure sporting activity to raise awareness about the ecological problems in Ganga.
