Prism Johnson surges on acquiring 27% stake in Sunspring Solar

Prism Johnson is currently trading at Rs. 80.00, up by 1.50 points or 1.91% from its previous closing of Rs. 78.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 80.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 80.50 and Rs. 79.00 respectively. So far 1208 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 104.00 on 12-Mar-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 62.45 on 04-Feb-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 80.50 and Rs. 73.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4026.85 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.87%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 11.80% and 13.33% respectively.

Prism Johnson has acquired around 14.78 lakh equity shares of Rs 10 each aggregating to around Rs 1.48 crore constituting 27% in the total paid-up equity share capital of Sunspring Solar, a subsidiary of Cleantech Solar Energy (India), for the power requirement of the company’s tiles manufacturing facilities aggregating up to 4.62 MWp for the said facilities. The solar power plants are expected to be commissioned by March 2020 in a phased manner.

Prism Johnson (formally known as Prism Cement) is a building materials company. The company has interest in Portland cement, tiles, bathroom and kitchen (TBK) and ready mixed concrete (RMC).
