Power Grid inches up on planning to raise funds up to Rs 10,000 crore

Mumbai : Power Grid Corporation of India is currently trading at Rs. 208.15, up by 0.60 points or 0.29% from its previous closing of Rs. 207.55 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 207.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 209.55 and Rs. 206.90 respectively. So far 54636 shares were traded on the counter. The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 211.00 on 26-Jun-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 173.05 on 14-Feb-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 211.00 and Rs. 197.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 109157.12 crore. The promoters holding in the company stood at 55.37%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 40.09% and 4.55% respectively. Power Grid Corporation of India is planning to raise funds up to Rs 10,000 crore, from domestic market through issue of secured/unsecured, non-convertible, non-cumulative/ cumulative, redeemable, taxable/ tax-free Debentures/ Bonds under Private Placement during the Financial Year 2020-21 in upto twenty tranches/ offers. A meeting of the Board of Directors of the company will be held on July 3, 2019 to consider and approve the same.

Power Grid Corporation of India is an Indian state-owned electric utilities company headquartered in Gurgaon, India. Power Grid transmits about 50% of the total power generated in India on its transmission network.
