The annual meet is being attended by the leaders of seven member states — France, Italy, Canada, United States, Japan, Germany and the United Kingdom. US President Donald Trump, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and German Chancellor Angela Merkel are in Biarritz to discuss various issues during the G7 meeting.
Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister inaugurated the renovated monument temple of Shreenathji in Bahrain. He had reached Manama yesterday on the third leg of his three-nation tour to France, the UAE and Bahrain. During his visit, Mr Modi held talks with King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on various bilateral and regional issues.
The Prime Minister was honoured with the King Hamad Order of the Renaissance. Mr. Modi addressed the Indian community during his visit. He paid tributes to former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley during his speech at the Bahrain Stadium.
