Listing his government’s achievements, he said the NDA government has constructed pucca homes for eight lakh families, provided power connections to 24 lakh homes and gas connections to 40 lakh mothers and sisters.
In the last five years, bank accounts were opened for 1 crore 40 lakh people, toilets were built in 50 lakh homes, and women’s safety was ensured. He added that more than 4 hundred Ekalabya model schools have been opened to provide quality education to tribal students.
PM Modi said under the Congress rule, middlemen benefitted largely and people had to migrate to other states leaving their families. Assembly elections in Odisha will be held along with Lok Sabha polls in four phases – on April 11, 18, 23 and 29.
