PM Modi meets World Leaders on the sidelines of UN session

On the sidelines of the UN session, PM Narendra Modi met the Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad, the Amir of Qatar.  Both leaders reviewed the full range of ties between India and Qatar.  The Emir of Qatar also highlighted PM Modi’s efforts to make Yoga more popular globally.

PM Modi met with President of Niger, on the margins of UNGA. Intensifying bilateral cooperation in the areas of solar energy, agriculture and counter terrorism was the main focus of discussion.

PM Modi also held a bilateral meeting with his Italian counterpart Giuseppe Conte on the sidlenes of the UNGA. The two leaders discussed issues of mutual interest.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting executive director of UNICEF, Henrietta Fore in New York. The two leaders discussed children healthcare programmes, achieving sustainable development goals, and overcoming the challenges to a provide better future for children. During the meeting, PM Modi underlined the efforts made by the Government towards health and nutrition of children in India through several focused initiatives.

PM Modi also met President of Namibia Hage Gengob and President Ibrahim Mohammed Solih of Maldives on the sidelines of UNGA in New York.
