Addressing the gathering, he said that medical colleges and hospitals that are coming up across Gujarat are not only helping patients but also those who want to study medicine.
While asserting that it is important that the poor and the middle class get access to affordable medicines, he said that the government has started Jan Aushadhi stores that sell medicines at reasonable rates.
The Prime Minister added that the coming of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana under Ayushman Bharat scheme will transform the health sector and ensure the poor get top class healthcare and that too at affordable prices.
Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated nine projects of Junagadh Municipal Corporation. He said that there is a constant effort to ensure adequate water reaches every part of Gujarat.
Asserting that the Government’s emphasis on cleanliness is being universally appreciated, Prime Minister Modi said a Clean India ensures a healthy India.
Besides, the Prime Minister also unveiled the plaque to mark inauguration of a milk processing plant at Khokharda. He said that there is new energy and vibrancy in India’s development journey.
He also inaugurated the building of Polytechnic in Agro Processings of Junagarh Agriculture University as well as buildings of Fisheries college, Veraval and a Girl’s hostel at Veraval.
