PM’s first stop on the campaign trail was Bhagalpur in Bihar where he recounted the achievements of his govt and trained his guns at the opposition.
His next stop was Kendukona in Assam where he lashed out the Congress. Accusing its leaders of indulging in corruption….while pointing to what he called ‘the Tughlaq Road electoral scam’.
He took a swipe at the Gandhi family over corruption allegations against it.
He promised that a BJP govt at the Centre would protect the interests of people of the northeast….and stop illegal infiltration.
His last campaign stop was Silchar in Assam, where he claimed that phase 1 was swept by a pro-NDA wave.
He expressed BJP’s commitment to bring the Citizenship Amendment Bill in Parliament after holding consultations with all sections of society.
He assured that interests of the people of Assam would be safeguarded.
