Parleys continue in Maharashtra over government formation

Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray held a meeting with the party’s newly elected legislators in Mumbai on Friday.

The BJP is maintaining that the coalition government will be sworn in soon.

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray is scheduled to hold a meeting with all MLAs in Mumbai on Saturday (October 26).

The Shivsena fought the Assembly elections in Maharashtra in alliance with the BJP. Meanwhile, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar has ruled out any alliance with the Shivsena.

He said that NCP -Congress and other allies will decide together the future course of action. NCP Chief also stated that people have asked us to sit in the opposition. On the other hand, Congress has ruled out joining hands with the Shivsena.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Electoral Officer has presented the list of 288 MLAs elected in the October 21 state polls to Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari in Mumbai.
