Over 6 lakh lamps lit to mark ‘Deepotsav’ celebrations in Ayodhya 

The function was also attended by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Assistant Minister and Deputy speaker, parliament  of the Republic of Fiji , Ms Veena  Kumar Bhatnagar, who lit the first earthen lamp as chief minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel and several ministers of the state government were present. Addressing the function in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, highlighted the importance of Ayodhya for devotees.  He said that his government is establishing Ramrajya where the government’s welfare schemes are being implemented among the people without any discrimination on the basis of caste, creed and religion. 

Uttar Pradesh chief minister also said that his govt is working for all round-development in Ayodhya and this year too, projects worth 226 crore will be either unveiled or inaugurated. 

While, speaking on the occasion, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel hailed the role played by state govt for development in Ayodhya. She expressed happiness over state government’s decision to give Ayodhya Deepotsav as status of State Festival. 

After the earthen lamp were lit in full, the the Guinness World Records official handed over the certificate to the state govt for displaying more than SIX lakh earthen lamps this year. While FOUR lakh and 10 Thousand earthen lamps were lit up on the banks of river Saryu, more than TWO lakh diyas were lit up in other parts of the city.

At the Deepotsav program in Ayodhya, CM Yogi Adityanath, Governor Anandi Ben Patel issued a stamp which hito the cultural significance of Ayodhya.
