NEW DELHI: It seems like everything about the upcoming OnePlus 5 smartphone will be out before it’s officially launched. We already know majority of the details about the handset, courtesy of numerous online leaks and even tweets posted by the company’s CEO Pete Lau. Now, the smartphone has made an appearance on GeekBench benchmarking website, re-confirming some of the existing rumours.
According to the listing, at least one variant of OnePlus 5 will have 8GB of RAM. The company hasn’t revealed whether one variant of the smartphone will be launched or more.
However, based on OnePlus’ past launches, it’s very much possible that there will be two variants of OnePlus 5 based on RAM and internal storage.
The listing further reveals that the smartphone will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat-based Oxygen OS. Obviously, the handset will be upgraded to Android O when the new OS version becomes available. For those unaware, the company CEO Pete Lau has already announced that both OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 3 will be receiving Android O later this year.
