On day-long visit to Gujarat, PM to witness ‘e-gruhpravesh’ of PMAY(G) beneficiaries

Gandhinagar-based Gujarat Forensic Science University is an exclusive institution in each and every sense. It is worlds first and only university dedicated to forensic and allied sciences. The distinction is a result of foresight of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

When he held the reins of Gujarat as the state’s Chief Minister in 2008 he took the initiative to establish the university. And in 2009, within one year, the university became functional .

Since then, GFSU has emerged as one of the most reputed educational institutions in the world for undertaking advanced studies and research on forensic sciences.

Spread across 15 acres, the university got UGC recognition in 2011. Today, more than two thousand students from India and abroad are doing research work on around 46 different subjects ranging from Cyber Security to ballistic testing.

It is the result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and farsightedness that students at the university are undertaking hands-on training on many important subjects including Cyber Security, Ballistic Testing, Digital Forensic, Clinical Psychology and Homeland Security.

The research is proving to be a big boost for security forces dealing with both internal and external threats.

Prime Minister Modi will deliver the Convocation Address of the Gujarat Forensic Science University on Thursday. He will also felicitate students during the ceremony.

World today is making all efforts to deal with the looming cyber menace and terrorism. In such a situation, the university shines like a lonely star that will illuminate the path to not only secure and safe India but also the world.
