NTPC gains on entering into agreement to form JV with Ceylon Electricity Board

NTPC is currently trading at Rs. 119.80, up by 0.95 points or 0.80% from its previous closing of Rs. 118.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 118.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 120.15 and Rs. 117.60 respectively. So far 213100 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 145.85 on 01-Jul-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 106.75 on 13-Feb-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 121.80 and Rs. 117.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 117943.12 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.50%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 42.74% and 2.64% respectively.

NTPC has entered into a Joint Venture (JV) & Shareholders Agreement with the Ceylon Electricity Board for incorporation of 50:50 Joint Venture Company for development of 300 MW (plus/minus) 15% LNG power project at Kerawalapitiya, Sri Lanka.

NTPC is the largest power utility company in India and has presence in Coal, Gas, Solar PV, Hydro and Wind Power Generation and Coal Mining.
