NTPC gains on adding capacity to Barauni Thermal Power Station

 

NTPC is currently trading at Rs. 116.00, up by 0.45 points or 0.39% from its previous closing of Rs. 115.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 115.55 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 117.55 and Rs. 115.55 respectively. So far 329672 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 145.85 on 01-Jul-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 106.75 on 13-Feb-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 118.90 and Rs. 115.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 114875.81 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.50%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 42.74% and 2.64% respectively.

NTPC has added capacity to 250 MW unit of Barauni Thermal Power Station on successful completion of Trial Operation. With this, the total installed capacity of NTPC and NTPC group has become 48895 MW and 57356 MW respectively.

NTPC is the largest power utility company in India and has presence in Coal, Gas, Solar PV, Hydro and Wind Power Generation and Coal Mining.
