NTPC climbs on adding capacity to Tanda, Khargone units

NTPC is currently trading at Rs. 118.15, up by 1.40 points or 1.20% from its previous closing of Rs. 116.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 117.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 120.45 and Rs. 116.45 respectively. So far 432638 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 145.85 on 01-Jul-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 106.75 on 13-Feb-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 120.45 and Rs. 114.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 117497.87 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.41%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 40.09% and 3.51% respectively.

NTPC has added capacity to Unit 1 of 660MW of Stage -II of Tanda Super Thermal Power Station (2×660 MW) and Unit 1 of 660MW of Khargone Super Thermal power Station (2×660 MW). With this, the total installed capacity of NTPC and NTPC group has become 48645 MW and 57106 MW respectively.

NTPC is the largest power utility company in India and has presence in Coal, Gas, Solar PV, Hydro and Wind Power Generation and Coal Mining.
