Nepal’s PM K. P. Sharma Oli has called upon for having national consensus on foreign policy

Mr. Oli said Nepal should pursue one foreign policy and take it forward. He further said Nepal should not only focus on political diplomacy but also on economic diplomacy. Nepalese Prime Minister said his government’s main objective is to take forward the country on the way of fast economic prosperity.

 

He said Nepal’s relations with its neighbours should be based on Truth, Justice and Global System and country is focusing on it. Mr. Oli further added that Nepal’s basic aim is friendship with all. He expressed hope that dialogue will help in prioritizing Nepal’s foreign policy as per the requirement of the time.

 

The dialogue was organised by the Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to evolve national viewpoint on foreign policy. Co-Chairman of Nepal Communist Party Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Upendra Yadav, Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Finance Minister Yuba Raj Khatiwada, Senior leaders from various political parties, former diplomats and other stake holders participated in the dialogue.
