Twenty six persons are still missing and thirty eight have been injured in various parts of the country in rain related incidents during last four days. Heavy downpour since Thursday has hit 28 districts, affecting more than 10000 households.
Nepal Police and Army personnel have safely rescued over 1400 people so far. Transportation and electricity supply was also disrupted due to floods and landslides in many parts of the country. Efforts are on to open highways and restore power supply. According to Flood Forecasting Division water level in all major and medium rivers is likely to remain near caution mark. People living on the banks of rivers are advised to be on alert.
Meteorological Forecasting Division forecast rain will occur at many places. There are chances of heavy rainfall at a few places of the central and western regions and at one or two places of the eastern region.
