After the announcement of elections, alliances are on in full swing. Alliance has been finalised between BJP and Apna Dal in U.P. The announcement was made after the meeting between BJP President Amit Shah and Anupriya Patel. She will contest from her seat. On the other hand, the rounds of meetings continued for selection of seats between NDA constituent parties in Bihar; BJP President Amit Shah met many leaders including Sushil Kumar Modi, Bhupendra Yadav and others. In the meantime, leader of the Haryana Congress and a three-time MP, Arvind Sharma has joined the BJP.
After the alliance between SP and BSP, SP has started announcing the names of the candidates for Gonda, Barabanki, Kairana, Ghaziabad and Sambhal. BSP Chief Mayawati has claimed that the alliance with SP will be a tough contest for BJP and Congress.
A delegation of Congress met the Election Commission and demanded the advertisements with PM Modi's photograph on them be removed from airports, railway stations and petrol pumps.
Congress President Rahul Gandhi met with the health officials in Chhattisgarh. He also hit out at Naveen Patnaik govt in Odisha and said people of Odisha are having to face employment in his leadership.

Jan Sena Chief Pavan Kalyan met Mayawati in Lucknow. BSP Chief announced that the two parties will fight together in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
She said that BSP will only form alliance with the parties which do not have Congress or BJP as their allies.
