Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Thawarchand Gehlot Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi and Members of Parliament paid floral tribute at Dr Ambedkar’s statue. Besides, hundreds of people from all walks of life also paid tributes to him.
In a tweet, Vice President said, people must draw inspiration from the vision and wisdom of Dr Ambedkar. He said, the tributes paid to him today will be meaningful only if people follow his ideals and uphold the values and ethics he propounded, in public life. In his tweet, Prime Minister Modi said Baba Saheb dedicated his life for social justice and gave a unique gift to the country in the form of constitution, which is the cornerstone of the Indian democracy. He said, a grateful nation will always be indebted to him.
