Udaipur : More than a year after pioneering bicycle rental & sharing services from its station at Dewali, MYBYK with the support of Udaipur Smart City Limited is expanding its fully automated ‘smartBYK’ bicycle sharing services across Udaipur.
Speaking on the occasion, founder & CEO Arjit Soni said “We’ve already started our services at Fateh Sagar opp. Lalit and on Rani Road nr. Sanjay Gandhi Park. Over the coming month, we shall add more stations in the old city area such as Chandpole, Gulab Baug, Doodh Talai, Shitala Mata Chowk etc. Initially we are targeting the tourists. With the expanded network, tourists will now be able to pick up cycle from one station and drop at another. With this, we hope to reduce congestion within the old city area and help Udaipur move a step forward towards sustainable tourism”
Within a span of five years, the Ahmedabad headquarted company has expanded to cities like Mumbai, Jamnagar, Dahej and Mehsana and now aims to expand aggressively in Udaipur city as well. It currently operates a fleet of 4,000 bicycles which have benefitted over three lakh users, and delivered approximately one million rides till date.
MYBYK users can rent cycles through smartBYK app for just Rs. 19/hour followed by Rs. 1/hour. For those looking to rent long term, MYBYK offers its ‘Hire’ services at cheaper rentals with doorstep delivery.
