During this visit, the minister will call on the President of the Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, Parliament Speaker Qasim Ibrahim and meet with the Maldives minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Shahid.
She is also scheduled to hold a joint Ministerial Meeting to discuss cooperation on a wide variety of issues.
Maldives foreign ministry said both governments will discuss ongoing and future collaboration arrangements, including the implementation of the agreed outcomes of the state visit to India by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
It said that discussions will focus on development cooperation, cooperation in the field of health, and enhancing people-to-people contact.
Relations between the two neighbors have vastly improved after taking over of new government in Maldives under President Solih.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the swearing in ceremony of Solih last November followed by visit of Solih to India in December.
Maldives foreign minister visited New Delhi in February during which discussions on wide range of issues took place. India has extended financial assistance of 1.4 billion USD to Maldives government for its development needs.
