He said India is the fastest growing large economy in the world and being nearest neighbour, Nepal will get automatic benefit out of it. Ambassador Puri said India’s agenda of development and neighbourhood first and “Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali” policy of Nepal have win win potential.
He was speaking at a talk programme on “Aspirations of Emerging India and its Foreign Policy” in Kathmandu this evening. In his key note address National Organizing Secretary of ABVP, Sunil Ambekar said Nepal is very special for India as both the countries have age old deep rooted social, cultural and religious bonding.
He said development can’t be achieved in isolation and Nepal’s support and participation is essential for the development of India. Mr. Ambekar said that both the countries should move together on the path of development to achieve their goals.
The event was organised by Neeti Anusandhan Pratishthan, Nepal. A large number of eminent persons including former diplomats, security experts, representatives from various organisations, scholars, youths, students and media persons attended the talk programme.
