Kerala: Heavy rainfall causes waterlogging in Kochi

Kerala has been marred by heavy rains, especially in Ernakulam and Kochi districts as commuters waded through water-logged roads to earn their livelihoods.

The heavy rainfalls have caused water flooded at the railway tracks near Ernakulam Junction Railway station while several arterial roads remained waterlogged causing traffic jams in Kochi.

All schools in Kochi were ordered to stay close following heavy rainfall in the city.

Normal life has been affected in the city due to the current scenario.

Meanwhile, the interior parts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts also experienced moderate to heavy rains in the last three days even as north interior Karnataka including Belagavi and Shivamogga were badly affected by flooding.
