Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik has asked a delegation of state politicians to maintain calm and not believe in rumours that are circulating in the Kashmir Valley.
JK Governor Satya Pal Malik quelling uncertainty fueled by unsubstantiated rumors. He met a delegation of political leaders at short notice. Mehbooba Mufti, Shah Faesal, Sajjad Lone and Imran Ansari were part of the delegation.
The Governor made it clear that the advisory issued earlier in the day asking Amarnath Yatris and tourists to return was a precautionary measure based on credible and serious inputs available with security agencies regarding plans of terrorist attacks on the Amarnath Yatra.
Satyapal Malik urged political leaders to maintain calm and not mix up a pure security measure with issues with which it has no concern.
Earlier in a press conference Lt General Dhillon said that during search operation, the teams of Indian Army, CRPF, and Jammu and Kashmir police found huge caches of arms and ammunition bearing mark of a Pakistan ordnance factory. Lt. Gen. Dhillon asserted that they will never Pakistan succeed in its nefarious intentions.
Meanwhile DM of Srinagar has assured people in the city that there are sufficient stocks of essential commodities and urged them not to indulge in panic buying and hoarding.
Major airlines in the country have responded to DGCA’s call to refund tickets booked to the valley. The need of the hour is to maintain calm and ensure that the nefarious intentions of terrorists fueled from across the border are defeated.
