Jammu and Kashmir on path of peace and prosperity, says Home Minister

Speaking at the launch of a book  chronicling the two years in office by Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu  in Chennai the Home Minister said he firmly believed that Article 370 should be removed as it was not beneficial to the country.

Amit Shah also hailed the role of the Vice President as chairman of the upper house during the discussion and passage of the bill related on Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing the gathering, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said that there is absolute peace in Kashmir and not even a single shell of tear gas is fired in the valley.

Prakash Javadekar said said that with removal of provisions under Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, 106 acts will now be applicable in the Union territory, ultimately benefiting the people.
