ISRO launched its earth observation satellite, RISAT-2BR1 successfully on PSLV-C48 from the First Launch Pad of Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota.
The 44.4 metre tall rocket lifted off majestically at 3.25 pm, Wednesday, from the first launch pad of the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.
All 9 customer satellites from Israel, Italy, Japan and USA were successfully placed in their designated orbit by PSLV C48.
The launch marks a significant milestone for the space agency as it is the 50th flight of PSLV and the 75th vehicle mission from Sriharikota. ISRO chief, K. Sivan congratulated the team of scientists who made it possible.
