Insurance stocks decline after FM announces Govt will examine opening up FDI in Insurance

Insurance stocks trade lower after Finance Minister announces that Government will examine opening up FDI further in Aviation, Insurance and Media. Moreover, 100% FDI will be permitted for insurance intermediary.

ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company is currently trading at Rs. 1114.35, down by 9.30 points or 0.83% from its previous closing of Rs. 1123.65 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 1123.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1124.50 and Rs. 1112.60 respectively. So far 3096 shares were traded on the counter.

HDFC Life Insurance Company is currently trading at Rs. 484.60, down by 4.55 points or 0.93% from its previous closing of Rs. 489.15 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 492.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 494.95 and Rs. 483.30 respectively. So far 121127 shares were traded on the counter.

SBI Life Insurance Company is currently trading at Rs. 754.45, down by 2.90 points or 0.38% from its previous closing of Rs. 757.35 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 757.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 762.00 and Rs. 748.85 respectively. So far 13568 shares were traded on the counter.
