India and Kyrgyzstan ink 15 agreements

India and the host country Kyrgyzstan exchanged15 documents in the bilateral meet between the leaders of the two countries bringing them closer together like never before..take a look..

Talks were held on several bilateral issues like defence, security, trade and investment. India and Kyrgyzstan agreed to take the relationship forward to a strategic level. 15 documents were exchanged in various sectors as well.

The documents exchanged between the two countries are a Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership, Road map on Trade and Economic Cooperation, Bilateral Investment Treaty, MoU on health, MoU on Information and Communication Technology among others.

Apart from this, PM Modi agreed to give 200 million dollar credit line to Kyrgyzstan as part of development cooperation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi jointly addressed the business forum in Bishkek. He said the ties with Central Asia are centuries old and dating back to the silk route.

Prime Minister said that over the last five years an atmosphere conducive to trade, entrepreneurship and investment has been created in India.

This is based on two pillars of increased connectivity and stress on b2b cooperation. This has resulted in ease of doing business in India.

Prime Minister said that Namaskar Eurasia trade show will be organized in Bishkek.

PM had a strong emphasis on increasing contact with Central Asia. The official visit to Kyrgyzstan is a move in this direction.

PM Modi’s visit is considered quite crucial with regard to the bilateral relations between India and Kyrgyzstan.
