In a blog titled Agenda 2019 – Part – 5 'Prevent India From Becoming a Dynastic Democracy,' Jaitley wrote that post-Independence, Congress was a group with galaxy of tall leaders. Yet Pt. Nehru started grooming his daughter as a successor generation after generation, its leadership is reserved for a family party and is now in doldrums, another member has entered scene.
"Most parties created post-1991 converted into dynastic parties. They had no organised structures, no parliamentary board . Many of leaders of such parties are highly corrupt.
Writing about PM Narednra Modi, Jaitley said that results of 2014 general elections were due to many factors. PM Modi grew from an extremely humble background.
He had to work and struggle for the positions that he got. Most family owned parties lost. This was not because of PM Modi's popularity alone, it was also because India had changed.
An aspirational India realised that it is only men of merit, competence & integrity, who can arouse public confidence. Jaitley expressed confidence that this trend will continue in 2019 elections. Prime Minister Modi & aspirational India will together demolish concept of families."
BJP president Amit Shah also attacked the Congress party. In a blog, the BJP president said, "Before making statements on terrorism, Rahul Gandhi should first look at the history of Congress. On the issue of Masood Azhar Pakistan is in pressure from international community. Before the Kandahar hijacking episode, when the daughter of the then Home Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed was kidnapped by terrorists and a demand was made to release 10 hardcore terrorists. Congress should answer that in 2010 when they were in power then why they released 25 hardcore terrorists?"
The BJP president also wrote that Congress had no clear policy on issues of national security be it terrorism or Naxalism. And now under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi it has become impossible for the terrorists to get into the internal security of the country.
