Hong Kong witnesses series of arrest of pro-democracy leaders

The student activists, Joshua Wong and Agnes Chow were charged after they unlawfully organized a protest outside police headquarters in Hongkong. However, both of them were released on bail and the case was adjourned until 8th November.

Meanwhile, the European Union said that the latest developments in Hong Kong were extremely worrying.

EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini also said that they expected Hong Kong to respect the freedom of assembly, expression and association.
